SPECIAL EFFECTS

The Great Gatsby VFX from Chris Godfrey on Vimeo.

One of my other favourite blogs and Interior Designers in Sydney is Dana Tomic Hughes, the creator behind Yellowtrace. Yesterday she had a very interesting post on her blog in regards to the Great Gatsby. I have had many discussion about this movie and have been getting mixed feedback. I think it is either a love or hate relationship with the new Baz adaptation.

You all know I loved it, not particularly for the over the top nature of this adaptation but for the beautiful sets, display of deco interiors and the fashion.

Chris Godfrey, the visual effects supervisor on The Great Gatsby developed this before and after reel that demonstrates the effects and vision Baz and his team created and constructed of the 1920s.
