SYDNEY INDESIGN WRAP & SNEAK PEEK

It was such a great three days, friendly and energetic vibe. Anyone you saw with a pink and white tag around their neck, holding numerous bags and walking around the city design districts of Surry Hills, Carriageworks and Alexandria you knew was heading to the great three day event that is Sydney Indesign. This year was the first year it was called Sydney Indesign, formally known as Saturday Indesign, was such a great combination of networking, discovery and all things design. Music, live djing sets, free Messina gelato, drinks, BBQ, in door out door Habitus lounge, Shaynna Blaze, Darren Palmer, giveaways... the works. I really enjoyed every minute of it and even bumped into many other like minded people in the industry I know and love. So many great new discoveries which I cannot wait to share with you all through my blog ( which by the way is going to be getting a make over in spring ) review and even use in upcoming projects.

What did we see most of? Well, lots of very cool technology coming through in our every day objects, new amazing bathroom grates, marbles, laminates and cool accessories made from natural materials as well as laser cutting technology. Very lush fabrics in deep colours juxtaposed with fresh light pastels and neon. Lots and lots of hexagons ( what did I tell you! ) and lots and lots of beautiful lights. A strong emphasis on workplace design as well as environmental design. Lots of new outdoor ranges and vertical gardens.

I wanted to share with you a whole bunch of images from my camera roll, that gives you all a sneak peek into the event that was Sydney Indesign.

Hope you all are having a great Monday! Are you working on any great projects or DIY's this week?
If you are make sure to let me know, it would be great to feature it on the blog.
