I could not believe that they didn't want to showcase the results of the winners on Sunday night as usual... bold move by the nine network and The Block producers if you ask me. Everyone was so annoyed that they didn't know share the news on Sunday... it really left us all hanging, but I really did have a feeling that Brad and Dale were going to take out the win this week. The boys really do deserve a lot of credit for their hard work, relaxed nature and bright ideas. I really do think they crowned the win as they really thought outside the box, I don't think the aesthetic was as elegant and wow as some of the other rooms, even though their bathroom finishes were exceptional. The thing is... it really is all subjective which makes the judges role very difficult. They really do need to consider many other factors when deciding on the winner other than just "look" and "feel" which is why I feel the boys overall risk, concept and finishes brought them over the line. Hat off to Chantell and Steve though, they really have come a long way and refined their wacky style.
My favourite this week, was not really any particular room but the void in the twins apartment, as well as all the textural wall finishes and hardware. How amazing are the sleek black taps and vanities? They really win me over including the perforated metal spiral stairs!

FEATURE FRIDAY : AL COLLECTIONS IS A HIT
I know it is Monday, but I didn't get a chance to post this on Friday so today is the perfect day to share all the great posts.
Alisa and Lysandra were a big hit on The Block Sky High last year and are continuing to prove how talented they are on Fans vs Favs this year. At the end of last year they finally turned in their badges to make their dreams come true with the beginning of AL Collections.
AL Collections is their online store that allows them to bring and make their style accessible by all their fans. It is consistently updated with new products and things that they have and are using on both series of The Block.
Make sure you check it out and get your fix of AL style! You can find out more about their online adventure by visiting their website.

THE BLOCK IN REVIEW - BATHROOM REVEALS
Did you manage to tune in last night? I was actually a little disappointed to be completely honest. There was so much hype happening during the week that I just couldn't wait to see these amazing bathrooms and terraces... but actually, I was left feeling a little empty, which saddens me for this weeks room reveals. The judges were very harsh this week as well, but I do think despite their hashness they really do give very constructive feedback and really give them great advice and direction, so I am sure the teams will be taking all of it on board.
Every room did have an element of wow factor but it was very clear there wasn't too much consistency in keeping that loft style wow factor happening. In all honesty though, I cannot get over how they get all of it done in a week... that in itself is such a huge achievement so it becomes really difficult to be very critical of their work. My favourites this week for the boys, without a doubt, they did have the best bathroom/ laundry/ terrace combo and Chantelle and Steve, despite how tough their week was, they really pulled together an amazing result ... just not with the bra. Some of their finish touches were genius and I really do feel their terrace had a really great layout.

The good old hexagon! Love the tile choice and combinations together with the timber. I also like that the toilet roll is hidden.

This just looks like it would be a very very zen space and I really love that. The tile contrasts very well against the exposed brick work.

I love that Brad and Dale have added in curtains to their terrace doors. It really adds a real softness against all the raw materials. Well done boys!

THE BLOCK IN REVIEW
Weekly now that room reveals have begun I will be sharing my choice of the room that I think worked the best and all the exciting products that I loved from last nights episode. All the couples did an amazing job and I really do agree that the standard for the rooms has risen, which means that the style of rooms we will be seeing are going to be of a very high quality... and I cannot really wait. There was not one room that I really didn't like last night and I really do think the scores were very fair! The Twins too the first win out and it was completely deserved, they really do know how to put a room together and what really won it for me was the drapery and the way the orientated the room.
My next fav was the K team, who really nailed it with their styling plus Kyle is a machine!! How great is he at making things? They really are killing it with all of his skills and they do still pay attention to detail. I feel like each couple definitely have their own style and are fitting the brief well, so very much looking forward to the bathroom reveals this week.
What did you think of this weeks room reveals? Did you think the Twins deserved to win?
Attached are several links to all the products that I loved from last nights room revel!

How awesome are the timber doors? I think it is a great idea to incorporate unique entry points by using different materials for doors.
