FEATURE FRIDAY : HOW DO YOU LIKE THE NEW US?

How do you like the new look? I am in love and could not be happier with the results, the lovely Katrina Chambers who starred on The Block with her sister Amy was the talented person that put this together for me. Even though you know, I was really proud of my efforts attempting to make my blog look good, it was never at the level I wanted it to be... well till now! I am so excited to have it all up and running and cannot wait to bring it to a whole new level. So are you going to be stopping by regularly? Katrina has her own lifestyle and interiors blog that is full of useful and resourceful information. It is also a place where she shares lots of tips for bloggers as well as, her everyday life. She also runs her successful web designing business The Media Maid, where she teaches as well as designs blogs and websites.

The two sisters have also just launched The Design Tribe blog where they have a live forum where you can post any questions to do with Interiors and get some feedback. It is really interactive as well as being full of tips and latest trends, so make sure you go and check it out.

Let me know what you think of the new look and what you would like to see more of on BTD below.

Ps: We also have some other very exciting news to share with you all... A little blurb about JDZ Designs was published in this months Renegade Collective magazine!! We will tell you more about it on Monday.

WARRIOR WEDNESDAY : CHANNEL CREATIVITY

Whenever you are looking for inspiration to get the creative juices flowing, I always look to imagery and magazines, but most importantly, I often need to get myself into a zone and look within to let my creativity flow. It is really important for all of us to connect with that creativity that is hidden within us as much as possible, it just allows you to escape a little of the rat race many of us are caught up in daily. Getting creative wether it is through DIY projects, renovating, art, writing or playing music, it can really speak to your soul ( sorry to be cheesy ) but it is true and it is always a huge question many people struggle with... how to channel that creativity? Or live and work in the creative field? How do you succeed being creative? Well, the answers are below.

Decoration + Design trade fair started in Sydney today ( which I will be attending tomorrow) and one of the headlining interior designers giving lots of inspiration and talks during the fair is Shannon Fricke . She is an expert at living a creative life personally and in her work. She is also very passionate about informing everyone on how to make your creativity work for you. It is so important that everyday we live our lives being our most authentic selves and if that means channeling your creativity and being true to yourself, then do it. To me that is more success than anything else, it is what I do everyday and despite the journey being difficult at times, the reward at being happy everyday and achieving your dreams is worth it.

My advice: Live Your Dreams & Make Your Creative Self Shine ( JDZ Original )

SHARING IDEAS IS THE BEST WAY TO INSPIRE

My lovely friends at Oriental Grove have started this great little IDEA's page as part of their website so that they can share their own DIY projects and inspire their clients and readers to part take in environmentally friendly activities that are great for your home. It is a really great way to inspire and to showcase some interesting little projects, which I am excited about because I too get to contribute.
We are currently working on our next DIY project, which will be revealed within the next couple of weeks, but today I am sharing with you, their adventures in making a seashell wind chime. They outline the process and put together something that is functional as well as decorative at the same time.

Take a look for yourself and see what you think.
